MyRIVET, in collaboration with Akademi Kepimpinan Pendidikan Tinggi (AKEPT) have organized a webinar on TVET-Leadership Development Programme with the theme of Leadership Skills in the Digital Age: Challenges & Opportunities. The speakers are Dato’ Ts. Dr. Mohammmad Naim Yaakub from MyRIVET UTHM, Prof. Dr. Abdul Karim Alias from USM and Dr. Young Saing Kim from KRIVET while the moderator is Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ts. Lai Chee Sern from MyRIVET. Director of AKEPT, Dato’ Prof. Dr. Nasrudin Mohammed and director of MyRIVET, Assoc. Prof. Ts. Dr. Razali bin Hassan also gave a speech and closing remarks during the events. The webinar is the first series of the programme and was broadcasted live through the Prestige Global TV YouTube channel and the AKEPT official Facebook page.

Assoc. Prof. Ts. Dr. Razali Bin Hassan, Director of MyRIVET, delivered a keynote speech at the 1st International Conference on Education and Technology, Indonesia. With the theme of “Beyond the New Normal Challenges in The World of Education Towards Society 5.0”, Dr. Razali shared his insight on “The Impact of COVID19 Towards Teaching and Learning: Will it lead to change in our Teaching Methodology?”. He discussed the response of world’s education system in the face of the COVID19 pandemic and highlighted the importance of investment in the professional development of educators, research and development on creative teaching methods, and policy improvement.

Dr. Mohammad Naim Bin Yaakub, deputy director of MyRIVET shared his views on teacher quality and teacher professional development at 9th International Skills Forum organized by Asian Development Bank (ADB). Under the theme of “Reimagining Education and Skills Development for a New Normal”, the forum discussed on improving learning approaches, equipping learners with 21st century skills for better employability and smart partnership in reforming education for a new normal.
